Covid-19 has us all stuck at home but that doesn't mean that we have to stop creating.
The Tays Art Museum is hosting the “We Will Not Be Stopped” Art Show and Contest.
2-D Artists in all mediums except photography or computer generated art are welcome to participate. Artists from any country are welcome to submit one entry per entry form and up-to two entries, each on its own entry forms. All entries forms must however, be submitted in ENGLISH. Eligible entries must have been completed between January 1st and May 31st. Entries should demonstrate how you have not been stopped by recent events. Images should reflect hope, determination, faith, strength, and the human spirit to over-come adversity. We are not interested in art that is disparaging, or of a dark nature.
This on-line Juried Art Competition and Show. It is open to all artists 18 years of age or older.
3.The Work Must Be Original:
No artwork needs to be shipped as this is an online exhibit. You must be the creator of the art and image file. Your art must be your own original concept and not a copy of anyone else's copyrighted material. (If your image infringes upon another's copyright it will be disqualified.) Upon submitting your work, to this competition, you are solely responsible for any infringement on copyrighted materials. We reserve the right to request proof that your entry is your original artwork created solely by you. Non-compliance to this rule will be a disqualification of your entry.
There is a $5.00 donation per entry for this show and contest. Donations can be made through PayPal.
The artist retains all copyrights to their artwork with the exception that Tays Art Museum has the right to reproduce and display submitted images on its web site, advertisements, and promotions.
By entering this art competition, you are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork on our www.taysartmuseum.com website and in our newsletters, and in the marketing of the art competitions to the general public as well as other promotions and fundraising activities. All winning entries and show participants will be displayed on the www.taysartmuseum.com website. Each entry becomes part of the public, historical / archival online contest catalog. It may be removed at a later date.
7.File Sizes and Formats:
Your images are best represented at 1000px on the longest side and at a resolution of 72dpi. The acceptable file formats are: JPG. Images that are too small, poor quality, or blurry will be disqualified.
8.The Entry Process:
·Step 1. Fill out the on-line entry form.
·Step 2. Send your high quality JPG images as an attachment and email to firstname.lastname@example.org When your entry has been received, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. Images MUST be as an attachment in JPG format and NOT as part of the body of the email.
·Step 3. Winners and those judged into the show will be notified by email no later than June 8th 2020.

Artworks may be submitted up until 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time on May 31st 2020. No artworks will be accepted past the posted deadline.
10.Prizes and Payments:
There will be First, Second, and Third place winners, an Honorable Mention, and Peoples Choice Award. All winners will be featured on www.taysartmuseum.com in the “We Will Not Be Held Back Art Show” and will be listed as a Tays Art Museum Featured Artist.
First - $75
Second - $50
Third - $25
Honorable Mention – No Cash Prize
Peoples Choice – No Cash Prize. (This will be decided after the contest and show have posted on www.taysartmuseum.com Viewers will have the opportunity to vote on-line for their favorite pieces at $1 donation per vote.)
Those who did not place may be juried into the show. Not all entries will be juried into the on-line show. Cash prizes can be paid through PayPal or by a check mailed to the winner within 14 days of the notification of winning.
Winners shall be solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes.
13.VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
A donation of $5.00 per entry is required to register each work of art. When you make your donation using the Buy Now button below, PayPal will provide you with an Invoice ID or Transaction ID Number, this number is required to register and MUST be part of the file name for your submission
